Magazine double-page spread analysis.

This double page spread that features a story about Eminem, the whole left side of the page is dominated by a large photo of Eminem himself. The three main colours in this double page spread are; black, white and red. The background of the page is black which collaborates well with Eminem's skin tone, this also allows the writing to be white and feature subtitles that are in red. The title of the page is just 'EMINEM' and the second E is in red rather than white, beneath that it has Eminem's full name 'Marshall Bruce Mathers III' in a red font before it goes into the story of the page. The story for this page opens with a quote about life from Eminem, this portrays him as a person well and urges a reader to continue.

This double page spread features a story about The Notorious B.I.G., the left side of the page is almost all taken up by a photo of Biggie. However the left side features a title that says 'NOTORIOUS', the second O has a crown on it suggesting Biggie is the king of rap. The three main colours featured on this page are; red, black and grey. Red being the colour of the two large titles at the  top of the page, black being the colour of the writing that covers the story and grey being the background colour. The largest piece of writing on the page is 'B.I.G.' which shows irony on the page, the story is finished with the font changing to a larger, bolder font which says 'All Hail Big Poppa!'

This double page spread features a different approach to the previous two, it features 6 segments on the right side of the page which are all stories devoted to different artists. The left side of the page is dominated by a large photo of Tupac, it also features a quote from Chuck D about Tupac which says '2Pac was able to touch souls. He went where others MC's didn't dare to tread.' The most dominant colours on this page are; black, red and grey. Black being the colour of the writing which covers each story in the segments, red merely being used for the colours of boxes for the numbers and the titles of songs that Mike D from Beastie Boys speaks about in his larger singular segment. The grey is used for an effect on the photo of Tupac and naming the artist that each segment is devoted too.
